Payroll Specialist

Location: Otis Vienna HQ

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Payroll Specialist will have a minimum of 3-5 years Cloud-based payroll experience. In this role, the payroll Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process for the Austria Payroll. This role will work alongside a team of 1 ensuring the accurate delivery of Payroll. This role collaborates closely with Otis HR Employee Services, HR business partners, key vendors (ADP), tax authorities, and unions to ensure payroll execution is timely and accurate.

  • Coordinates all activities of the Austria Payroll, executing end to end payroll processes, managing the complete cycle for an outsourced payroll solution
  • Works with Sage on delivering the Payroll for the Austria Payroll
  • Responsible for processing monthly payrolls for Austria Payroll
  • Responsible for correct calculations of Statutory payments and deductions
  • Responsible for ensuring all controls and approval are completed, and supporting internal and external Audit/SOX controls reviews
  • Cooperating with Finance Team for payroll bookings and monthly closure activities
  • Answering Employees' payroll related queries
  • Back up for other Colleagues within the payroll Team
  • Duties may require periodic non-standard hours to support payroll production

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 3-5 years of Austria Payroll experience is required Extension knowledge of Austria Payroll Legislation is required
  • Demonstrated writing proficiency, visual design and effective oral presentation skills in English
  • Experience with processing Stock Options, RSU's are preferred
  • Experience with Sage Payroll software, Workday, and ServiceNow preferred
  • Shared service environment experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines while under stress
