We are seeking a financial accountant to become an integral member of our team. Based in Vienna, Austria, you will be responsible for the financial accounting of AXIS Aviation, ensuring that accounting is performed in a timely and accurate manner aligned with our group strategy and procedures.
Financial Accountant
Vienna Airport, 100%, to start immediately
Your tasks
- Manage and record incoming invoices from suppliers ensuring transaction entry verification procedures are followed. Reconciliation of supplier accounts and payment thereof
- Ensure timely and accurate issuing of client invoices, handling queries from clients and following up on payments
- Ensure the accurate recording of VAT on all transactions, preparing and filing of VAT returns
- Perform general accounting activities, such as recording of payroll transactions, accruals and other monthend transactions including the reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and monthly cash flow planning
- Assist with monthly reporting and annual closing activities and reporting
Perform ad hoc duties as requested by the Group CFO from time to time
Your Profile
- A recognized finance qualification
- At least 3 years experience in a similar position
- In depth understanding of accounting, both procedural and technical aspects
- Detail oriented with the ability to adjust quickly to our industry environment
- Results driven, able to execute with high personal accountability and to work independently
- Customer focused, ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients and stakeholders
- Fluent in English and German (oral and written)
- A background in aviation would be preferable but is not essential
