Your tasks

  • Continuously monitor and analyze Regulatory (BWG) Compliance-related legal requirements (EU, Austrian, and German laws and regulations) to assess their relevance and materiality for DBAG.
  • Assist the Regulatory (BWG) Compliance Officer in the design and implementation of a risk-based Regulatory Compliance monitoring program, including gap and risk analyses.
  • Conduct comprehensive Regulatory (BWG) Compliance audits and reviews to ensure adherence to applicable frameworks.
  • Evaluate new products, services, and procedures for conformity with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate actively in Regulatory (BWG) Compliance projects, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Oversee the execution of follow-up measures derived from past Regulatory (BWG) Compliance audits.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Regulatory (BWG) Compliance policies, manuals, and procedural guidelines.
  • support in the preparation of high-quality compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver targeted Regulatory (BWG) Compliance training programs for employees and management. Prepare detailed documentation for Compliance Committee meetings, including drafting and finalizing minutes.

What you bring to the table

  • A completed university degree in Law or Commercial Law.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a legal or compliance-focused environment.
  • Proven expertise in banking regulations, including but not limited to BWG, CRR, CRD, and related guidelines issued by ESMA and FMA.
  • Exceptional fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • An independent and proactive work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated personal integrity, impartiality, and adherence to regulatory standards (§13 GewO 1994).
  • Excellent communication skills with strong assertiveness and a confident professional demeanor.
